Veterans donations are becoming more important with the major conflicts taking place over seas. You can make a donation of money, time or by donating something with value that the charity can sell and use the funds. Car donations to veterans charities like the Purple Hearts is a good start.

Veterans can benefit from almost any type of donation. The Purple Heart use your donations for a variety of things but their overall goal is to assist vets and their families through what ever hard ships they face as a result of service. Making a car donation will go a long way to allowing these veterans charities to continue to help out.

In Canada a group is creating a video database of veterans stories. It is called Friends of Veterans Project and is dedicated to documenting the first hand accounts of veterans who served in any active role that Canada sent troops to. The project is open to anyone. They just need to follow the format and they can send in the story of a Canadian Veteran and also win a trip to Normandy France.

The veteran poppy campaign in Canada it is in full swing and people are proudly wearing their poppies. This is a campaign that has been going on as long as I can remember and I have always wore the poppy to show how proud I am of the service my family and others have committed to making our country what it is.

The donations veterans receive from the poppy campaign help fund many of the programs the Royal Canadian Legions runs. Helping out the veterans is easy and very popular due to the poppy campaign by the Legion.

Making a car donation this time of year to a veterans charity like the Purple Hearts or FOV Canada will go a long way to help out those vets who need our assistance now. The cars are processed and sold off at auction or they are recycled and the proceeds are given as a veterans donation.
